The last weekend in Aurangabad ended up with traditional show named Sarngadeva Samaroh music and dance festival. It is one of the main cultural dance and music festival of India and the only one in the Mahathwada region in Maharashtra. It is a festival but also a meeting between students, musicologists of “gurus” and renowned artists. The morning sessions was for talking about demonstrations and research presentations on various aspects of the Sangeet Ratnakar treaty, written by Sarngadeva, a music expert. The evening gives way to the festival where renowned artists demonstrate their talents.


This festival allows the large number of people to discover traditional Indian musical art.

Several styles of music and dance were represented. This year eye catching traditional dance forms lik Kathak, Manipuri, Odissi performed on stage and a mesmerizing music like Baul was presented at this show.
